Break In & Theft From Twicely Warehouse
Trading Announcement Regarding the Recent Break In at our Ramsbottom Warehouse
Important Update From Twicely About the Items That you Have Listed
We are sorry to have to inform you that we have suffered a major break in and theft at our main warehouse in Ramsbottom resulting in the loss of many of the items that we had stored there. The theft has caused huge operational and administrative issues which we are still attempting to resolve. However, we have managed to complete a full stock take and have emailed all customers that we believe have been affected by the theft.
Although there was significant damage to our IT hardware no IT systems or customer information were compromised. All of our customer information is held in cloud based databases and our staff have taken extra precautions to ensure that these cannot be accessed. Significant damage also ocurred to the physical storage systems we have in the warehouse. This has caused headaches identifying some stock. Piecing the stock file together has also been a slow process.
We are continuing to trade while we seek to resolve the operational and financial problems that we are facing. However, we understand that customers unaffected by the theft may want to contact us to discuss their concerns, or request the return of items that they have currently listed. Please use the contact form here on our contact page to get in touch.
We are trying to respond in as timely a manner as possible to customer emails but we are under considerable pressure at the moment and would ask for as much patience as possible while we get the business back on track. The theft has coincided with what should be the busiest 8 weeks of selling in the year and we are focused on ensuring that is a successful peak sales period for our sellers.
If you have any questions please ask, just use our contact form and we will do everything that we can to help.
On a personal note we would like to thank the countless customers who have been in touch to send good wishes and hopes for the future. It has taken us more than 6 years to build this business from scratch. All of the staff and management at Twicely have been distraught at the loss and devastated for the customers who have lost items.
